Job summary

Paycom in Texas seeks a Charge Nurse to ensure high-quality resident care in a skilled nursing facility. The role encompasses rounds, care plan implementation, and medication administration, with emphasis on timely communication and documentation.

The ideal candidate holds an active Texas RN license and has experience in geriatric care and clinical documentation. This on-site position reports to the Director of Nurses and offers opportunities to lead nursing teams.

Qualifications

• Must have completed RN program at an accredited school.
• Active RN license in Texas in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, document, and report resident condition during rounds.
• Ensure implementation of care plans as directed.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Conduct rounds with physician and record visits in clinical records.
• Perform narcotic reconciliation with incoming and outgoing shifts.
• Identify significant changes in residents' condition and take necessary action per policies.
• Oversee and monitor aides.
• Initiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports per policy.
• Discharge residents per facility policy.
• Complete Nursing Assessments prior to physician calls when condition changes.
• Communicate status updates to residents' designated contacts.
