Job summary

TURN is seeking a Lead RN Registered Nurse in Oceanside, CA to oversee nursing operations and deliver direct client care, including health monitoring and medication administration. The role requires physician collaboration and on-call coverage to ensure continuous treatment services.

The successful candidate will supervise nursing staff, ensure documentation accuracy, and participate in treatment planning with the psychiatry team. California RN license and valid driving credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN in California.
• Valid CA driver's license and auto insurance per contract.
• Experience in mental health and/or substance abuse services preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Office and EHR software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide injections, medication support, diagnostic reviews, case consult, crisis intervention, and targeted case management services to assist clients with basic needs and symptom management.
• Accurate and timely documentation as contractually required and meet minimum billable requirements for direct client services.
• In collaboration with the treatment team, participates in the organization and management of medication coaching and delivery to clients, as well as integrating medication administration into treatment plans. Responds appropriately to medical emergencies.
• Dispense and account for prescribed medication, assist psychiatrist in administering and evaluating prescribed medication and arrange lab work according to protocol.
• Oversee nursing policies, procedures, audits and liaison with program psychiatrist.
• Shift coverage including part of the on-call team.
• Provide field-based services as required by program and client need.
• Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.
• Participate in scheduled program meetings.
• Provide nursing staff supervision, oversight, and participate in leadership team.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
