Job summary

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and solid clinical skills with at least one year of RN experience. BLS is required at hire; ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI may be required depending on department needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Current applicable state RN licensure/permit.
• BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI within timelines where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Managing patient care activities and supervising staff in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
• Assisting with staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Preparing reports for nurse managers and coordinating operational aspects of the unit.
• Assessing staff competencies, making patient care assignments, and maintaining clear communication with leadership.
• Providing leadership support and mentoring to nursing staff.
• Performing related duties to support departmental effectiveness and patient safety.
