Job summary

Mills Pond Rehabiliation and Nursing Center in New York is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our growing team. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality patient care, adherence to nursing standards, and collaboration with the health care team.

You will lead shifts, monitor medications, participate in care planning, and support residents and families through the care process while complying with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensed RN in New York State.
• MS/BS or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong clinical leadership and nursing practice knowledge.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain and interpret nursing standards of practice.
• Perform assessments and interventions per guidelines and procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary committees affecting nursing policies.
• Admit/transfer residents with proper documentation and guidelines.
• Supervise LPNs/CNAs; coordinate shift reports and staffing.
• Develop and revise care plans based on resident needs.
• Monitor medications, report and investigate errors.
• Ensure compliance with Nurse Practice Act and regulatory rules.
• Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies.
• Direct nursing shifts and perform other duties as directed.
