Job summary

USA Health in Mobile, AL is seeking a registered nurse to join our acute care team. The role emphasizes family-centered care, clinical assessment, and collaboration with physicians and staff to deliver safe, effective patient care.

As a Charge Nurse when assigned, you will supervise, evaluate, and guide nursing staff, maintain quality standards, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with policies. Alabama licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• RN licensure in Alabama or a Compact State is required.
• BLS/Basic Life Support certification required.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered nursing care per policy and Nurse Practice Act.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned.
• Supervise, plan, evaluate, and coordinate patient care provided by licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Demonstrates CPR according to American Heart Association standards.
• Abides by and enforces all compliance requirements and policies and performs responsibilities ethically.
• Adheres to hospital policies including confidentiality.
• Demonstrates the Nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.

Education

RN license (Alabama or Compact State Licensure)

BCLS - Basic Life Support Certification
