Job summary

HCA Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Nurse Leader to oversee the Transfer Center operations. The role requires managing day-to-day activities, staff orientation, and acting as the on-duty lead in TC leadership's absence, with responsibility for scheduling and data QA/QI.

Ideal candidates have a nursing degree, an RN license, and at least 5 years of healthcare experience, preferably in critical care or emergency settings. A multi-state license may be required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience (required); Critical Care or Emergency Department preferred.
• RN License in the states where the division facilities are located; multi-state license may be required if Transfer Center covers more than one state.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations consistent with departmental goals.
• Monitors orientation of new staff in collaboration with preceptor.
• Acts as primary point of contact in absence of TC leadership.
• Assists management with scheduling and covering open shifts.
• QA/QI of data, calls, and reports; identify inefficiencies.
• Communicates with leadership to resolve issues and improves operations.
• Liaison between staff and leadership; supports emergency operations.
• Assists in data collection, monitoring, evaluation and analysis of data.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Oversees daily operations consistent with the departmental goals
• Monitors orientation of new staff through collaboration with preceptor
• Serves as the primary point of contact (while on duty) in the absence of TC leadership
• Assists management with scheduling and covering open shifts
• Responsible for QA/QI of data, phone calls, and reports
• Strives to improve current operations by identifying inefficiencies
• Meets with leadership regularly to effectively communicate and resolve issues
• Works as a liaison between staff and leadership
• Plays a vital role in emergency operations
• Assists in data collection, monitoring, evaluation and analysis of data
• Monitors the call queue for the Transfer Center

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor of Nursing preferred
• Prior management/ supervisory experience in a healthcare related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience (required) Critical Care or Emergency Department experience preferred
• RN License in the states where the HCA facilities for that Division are located – multi-state license required if Transfer Center covers more than a single state (may be obtained upon hire)
