Job summary

Riverside Health in Newport News, VA is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to support cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and neuro radiology services. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for diverse cardiovascular procedures and work as part of the cardiovascular management team.

You will document care, participate in procedures, and contribute to quality improvement while maintaining patient safety and compassionate service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; or Associate's degree in Nursing preferred; Nursing Diploma minimum; HS Diploma/GED if Nursing Diploma graduate.
• 5-6 years experience in Interventional Procedures.
• 5-6 years scrub, monitor and/or circulate in 3+ modalities.
• 3-4 years technical experience performing invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• 5-6 years nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Records, circulates, and scrubs for diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
• Performs a variety of specialized and complex invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Demonstrates accountability for environment of care and ensures availability of necessary resources to provide positive work flow and efficient daily operations.
• Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks to facilitate quality patient care and ensure all patient care needs are met.
• Demonstrates organization of work and performs independently without close supervision; leads modality-specific teams.
• Accurately verifies and performs all aspects of procedures tracking including facility/room and billing.
• Collaborates with physicians to provide for the specialized needs of patients and notifies team as needed.
• Provides timely follow-up regarding requests and concerns using SBAR when applicable.
• Participates in training and support of team members and students as needed.
• Contributes to department goals and adheres to policies, quality standards and safety procedures.
