Job summary

Mammoth Machinery Movers in Covington, GA is seeking an experienced Lead Rigger to guide a crew on machinery moving and rigging projects across Georgia and nearby states. You will plan lifts, read layouts, and ensure safety and efficiency on every site.

This full-time role requires strong leadership, hands-on experience with forklifts and load calculations, and a professional approach when working with customers and project managers. Overtime and travel are part of the job as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of machinery moving and industrial rigging experience preferred.
• Ability to lead a crew with minimal supervision.
• Experience operating forklifts, telehandlers, and other heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of rigging practices and load calculations.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in industrial environments.
• OSHA certifications are a plus.

• Read and understand basic machine layouts and job plans
• Direct crew members during lifts and machine placements
• Load and secure machinery for transport
• Communicate with customers and project managers on-site
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintain a clean work environment
• Travel to job sites throughout Georgia and surrounding states (overnight travel required when necessary)

Mammoth Machinery Movers is a rapidly growing machinery moving and rigging company specializing in relocating, installing, loading, unloading, and setting heavy industrial equipment throughout the Southeast. We’re looking for an experienced Lead Rigger who can lead a crew safely and efficiently while representing our company professionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew on machinery moving and rigging projects
• Plan and execute safe lifts using forklifts, gantries, chain falls, rollers, skates, hydraulic jacks, and other rigging equipment
• Read and understand basic machine layouts and job plans
• Direct crew members during lifts and machine placements
