Job summary

Walt Disney Imagineering is seeking a Ride Development Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical ride systems across our portfolio of theme parks. You will manage scope, develop innovative concepts, and define interfaces with creative teams.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years hands-on mechanical engineering experience required.
  • Experience designing for multiple materials and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of statics, dynamics, tolerances, kinematics, stress/strain.
  • Proficiency with hand calculations and FEA methods.
  • Proven ability to travel internationally and domestically for projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scope to conceive, design, and deliver complex ride systems and equipment.
  • Develop 'clean sheet' concept designs meeting creative intent and requirements.
  • Extract technical requirements from high-level descriptions and artwork.
  • Define system requirements and interface specifications with stakeholders.
  • Lead engineering and design teams through all project phases.
