Job summary

Impulse Space seeks an experienced RF Software Manager to lead a diverse team responsible for spacecraft RF communication and GPS receiver software and FPGA firmware. You will own architecture, development, integration, and delivery across missions from LEO to deep-space.

You will provide both technical and people leadership to embedded software, FPGA, and simulation engineers, collaborating with avionics, flight software, ground software, and GNC teams to meet demanding performance and mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in software for wireless systems in critical apps.
• 2+ years in technical leadership or management.
• Experience developing embedded software in C++.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers for spacecraft RF and GPS systems.
• Own architecture, development, integration, and delivery of RF software and FPGA logic.
• Drive interfaces between RF hardware, GPS receivers, flight computers, and ground systems.
• Establish flight-grade software and FPGA practices including reviews and documentation.
• Partner with RF and avionics hardware during bring-up and qualification.
• Develop priorities, roadmaps, schedules, and staffing plans with leadership.
• Recruit and onboard RF software engineers.
• Identify and mitigate technical and program risks.
• Support spacecraft integration, environmental testing, and launch.
