Job summary

EVONA in Southern California seeks an experienced Manager RF Hardware Engineering to lead the spaceborne SAR payload RF hardware team. You will own RF architecture across SAR payloads, antennas, front ends, and high-speed data links, guiding the program toward an integrated flight article ready for environmental testing and launch.

The role requires 8+ years in RF hardware for spacecraft, 2+ years leading a multi-discipline team, and hands-on expertise with RF circuits, digitizers, and phased

Qualifications

• 8+ years in RF hardware engineering for spacecraft/payloads.
• 2+ years leading a multi-discipline RF or hardware team.
• Hands-on with high-speed digitizers, low-noise RF circuits, antennas & phased arrays.
• RF test/validation incl. anechoic testing and data analysis.
• Ability to derive RF requirements from mission goals.
• Strong microwave/RF analysis skills in Python or similar.
• Understanding SAR imaging concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor RF hardware, radar and communications engineers; own hiring and career development.
• Own RF subsystem execution across work breakdown, scheduling, risk, and SRR/ PDR/ CDR/ TRR/ FRR.
• Set RF engineering standards including analysis methods, test automation, documentation, verification readiness.
• Own RF architecture for SAR payloads and space vehicles.
• Direct antenna and phased array analysis including gain, patterns and mutual coupling.
• Collaborate with FPGA/embedded teams on high-speed interfaces and data acquisition chains.
• Own vehicle and payload communications hardware and end-to-end link performance.
• Translate mission goals into RF subsystem/engineering requirements.
