Job summary

CX2, a next-generation defense technology company, seeks a Lead RF Engineer to own cradle-to-grave RF components from requirements to test. The role requires onsite work at the El Segundo HQ, with no remote option, and demands prior leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will have strong RF fundamentals, antenna design, link budgets, and experience in NPI and design-for-test, plus proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB. ITAR-eligible US persons encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years total experience, with 2+ years leading a cross-functional engineering team.
• Experience creating link budgets aligned to real-world test data.
• Strong RF system parameter knowledge: gain, NF, FoM, linearity, band flatness.
• Willingness to debug complex electrical systems and identify root causes.
• Antenna/receiver design across RF domains and translating simulations to reality.
• ITAR-related eligibility: US person due to access to export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Cradle-to-grave support of RF components: requirements, schematic capture, layout, bring-up, test.
• Automate bench RF test data collection and post-processing for data-driven conclusions.
• Design, integrate, and maintain complex RF systems with emphasis on NPI and DFM/DFT.
• Mentor engineers; leverage eCAD and CAD tools and RF fundamentals; proficiency in Python/MATLAB.
