Job summary

Mercury Systems in Maryland is seeking a hardware engineer to design RF and digital systems using Atlanta Micro MMICs. The role includes PCB design with Altium or Cadence and developing embedded software for RF control.

You will work with customers to gather requirements and help with proposals and project planning. The candidate will bring 3+ years of mixed-signal design, PCB layout experience, and exposure to FPGAs/PLDs, with a focus on RF measurement setup and testing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering; Masters preferred.
  • 3+ years of board-level, mixed-signal design experience.
  • Experience with programmable digital logic devices (FPGAs/PLDs).
  • PCB design using CAD tools such as Altium or Cadence.
  • Ability to independently setup and run basic RF measurements (Noise Figure, Intercept point).

Responsibilities

  • Design RF and digital hardware solutions using MMIC components.
  • Use CAD tools to design PCBs and packaging for evals and modules.
  • Develop embedded software & firmware for digital control of RF components.
  • Conduct manual and automated performance tests to characterize RF components.
  • Collaborate with customers to synthesize requirements, assist with proposals and project planning.
