Job summary

UKG seeks a Lead Revenue Accountant in Massachusetts to lead complex revenue accounting and ASC 606 analyses, serving as a key advisor on revenue recognition and policy compliance under U.S. GAAP, influencing enterprise-wide decisions.

The role collaborates with Accounting, Legal, Product, Sales Ops, and external auditors to drive process improvements and SOX controls, supporting new offerings and cross-functional initiatives. 5+ years experience, SSP expertise, and CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a combination of public accounting and/or corporate accounting.
• Knowledge applying ASC 606 to software, SaaS, subscription, and service-based revenue.
• Experience preparing technical accounting memorandums and supporting conclusions through audits.
• Strong knowledge of SSP methodologies and revenue allocation concepts.
• Experience developing accounting policies, SOX control documentation, and process improvements.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and document complex accounting conclusions per ASC 606 and policies.
• Lead SSP analyses for existing and new products, including data gathering and documentation.
• Review complex customer contracts and non-standard terms, evaluating revenue implications.
• Serve as a technical accounting SME for revenue recognition and guidance.
• Lead revenue-related projects, system implementations, and policy updates.
• Partner with Commercial Finance, Legal, Sales Ops, Product Management, and Billing.
• Develop and maintain revenue accounting policies and internal controls (SOX).
• Analyze revenue trends and metrics, providing leadership with insights.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and promote best practices.
