Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to support store operations, greet customers, process transactions, and maintain merchandising layouts. You will help ensure a clean, well-organized store and assist in opening/closing duties under store management direction.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with some supervisory exposure, strong math and cash-handling skills, and ability to follow plan-o-gram guidance while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong math and cash handling skills; experience with IBM cash registers.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise while maintaining plan-o-gram displays.
• Operate cash register, process payments, and bag purchases.
• Greet customers and assist in locating merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety, including stocking and disposing of trash.
• Open/close store per Area Manager directions.
• Authorize refunds in absence of Store Manager.
