Job summary

Dollar General is hiring for a Cashier/Stocker role in a lead capacity when managers are away. You will assist in plan-o-gram implementation, stock merchandise, greet customers, operate the cash register, and help maintain a clean, organized store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and store operations is a plus.
• Ability to follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise according to store processes.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise on shelves; build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise; assist customers.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment and make change.
• Maintain clean, safe store environment and provide superior customer service leadership.
• Open and/or close the store under direction of Area Manager.
