Job summary

Goodwill of Central East Texas is hiring a Lead Retail Associate in Nacogdoches, TX. This part-time role emphasizes leadership, customer service, and merchandising to support sales goals and store projects.

You’ll train and coach Retail Associates, operate the register, and ensure a clean, safe, well-stocked environment, while helping to provide excellent service to donors and shoppers every day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of retail or customer service experience (preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A positive attitude and love for teamwork
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stay active throughout your shift

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to create a friendly, organized, and mission-focused environment
• Support your Store Manager in meeting sales goals and completing store projects
• Train, coach, and motivate Retail Associates
• Help with merchandising, rotation pulls, and creating eye‑catching displays
• Operate the register, handle cash, and assist customers with purchases and questions
• Ensure the store stays clean, safe, and well‑stocked
• Help detect and prevent loss, while maintaining a positive atmosphere for all
