Job summary

Endemic Environmental Services seeks a Restoration Ecologist/Project Manager to lead restoration projects across Southern California, translating ecological objectives into actionable scopes and field directions.

You will manage projects from kickoff to closeout, supervise staff, and coordinate with regulatory agencies to deliver safe, on-time, within-budget outcomes. Strong CEQA/NEPA knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Ecology or related field required; master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in restoration ecology or environmental consulting.
• 2+ years of independent project management and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead habitat restoration and mitigation projects from planning through closeout.
• Develop scopes, schedules, staffing, budgets, and deliverable calendars.
• Supervise staff, assign work, coach performance, and manage timelines.
• Coordinate field operations with crews, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review data and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as day-to-day client contact and support proposals and change orders.
