Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school for respiratory care required.
• Credential as either CRT or RRT by the National Board for Respiratory Care necessary.
• Minimum of (3) years in acute/chronic respiratory care experience preferred.

Job Summary

The Lead Respiratory Therapist will assist the management team at the Long-Term Acute Care Hospital. This position’s responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following primary duties:

Duties

• Working and or assisting with patients at site
• Assist facility with family meetings, admitting, discharging, and transferring patients
• Ensuring time and attendance records are accurate
• Assure physician orders are accurate and carried out, delegating work as necessary
• Timely and effective communications regarding departmental operations to respective ADON’s and Regional team
• Compliance to all Policy/Procedures within the scope of respiratory services
• Maintain personal hands on and visible supervision routinely on respiratory department and any other assigned respiratory care floors/units
• Exemplifying professional leadership conduct and character
• Ensure supplies, respiratory office, and equipment are in satisfactory condition. Communicate any inventory or issues to respective ADON’s or Regional Team
• Assist with staff training, education, and development
  
  

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school for respiratory care
• Credential as either CRT or RRT by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing
• CPR Certified (BLS)
• Requires minimal to no supervision to comply with job responsibilities
• Well spoken, high work level ethic and professional demeanor/character
  
  

Would Like To See

• Minimum of (3) years in acute/chronic respiratory care experience
• Minimum of (2) years respiratory care supervision of personnel/services
