Job summary

Lee Health’s Golisano Children’s Hospital in Fort Myers, FL seeks a full‑time Respiratory Care Specialist. You will perform clinical activities per shift, assist with staff scheduling, orientation, and competency assessments. RRT license and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP required. Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor’s preferred. Minimum 2 years of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in respiratory critical care.
• Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Florida.
• RRT-NPS or RRT-ACCS credentials are preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical activities per assigned shift.
• Participates in staff scheduling and ensures appropriate shift coverage.
• Assists with employee orientation, training and competency determinations.
• May perform staff blood gas competencies if qualified as a Key Operator.
• Participates in clinical evaluations of products and procedures.
• Provides conflict resolution and handles front-line complaints.
