Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center in Lancaster, PA is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to lead the day-to-day activities of the Respiratory Services Department, monitor staff performance, and adjust staffing according to RCIS guidelines.

This full-time, night-shift position (0.90 FTE) offers a $2.50/hour night differential, a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants, and tuition discount benefits for employees and dependents.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Two years of experience as a respiratory therapist.
• Active specialty credential (NPS, ACCS, C-NPT, AE-C, C-PFT, RPFT, PALS, or NRP).
• BLS required prior to orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in daily activities of the Respiratory Services Department.
• Coach and monitor Registered Respiratory Therapists daily performance and productivity.
• Adjust staffing levels as per RCIS crewing guide.

Education

Licensed Respiratory Therapist (state license)

ACLS certification

BLS certification

2 years experience as respiratory therapist

Active Specialty Credential (NPS/ACCS/C-NPT/AE-C/C-PFT/RPFT/PALS/NRP)
