Job summary

Kettering Health Hamilton is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift role. The Respiratory Therapy team delivers high-level respiratory care, assesses patients, and coordinates with physicians to implement therapy plans.

The incumbent will operate ventilators, administer medications, and provide preceptorship to students. Required credentials include an AMA approved Respiratory Program, Ohio license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, and NBRC RRT.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2–4 year AMA approved Respiratory Program.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Ohio.
• RRT credentials issued by the NBRC.
• Current BLS with ACLS, PAL or NRP depending on area.
• Ability to precept acute/critical care areas; supervisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Determine respiratory therapy treatment plans with physicians.
• Set up and perform routine and complex respiratory procedures.
• Manage ventilators and gas delivery systems per protocol.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapy as needed.
• Educate patients on disease state and home care needs.
• Record all data in patient records and maintain equipment safety.
