The Lead NICU Respiratory Therapist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing shift activities of NICU Respiratory Therapists, using independent judgment to ensure safe delivery of care. This includes managing respiratory personnel, overseeing clinical activities, and supporting NICU staff, nurses, physicians, patients, and families. The lead will also teach, precept, and coach staff in perinatal/neonatal care, monitor quality initiatives, and ensure department compliance with billing, documentation, infection control, and related standards.
