• Minimum of 3 years experience as a licensed Respiratory Therapist.
• Clear/active Florida license as RRT or CRT.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• PALS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate acute care ventilators for short- and long-term mechanical ventilation.
• Work with a self-directed approach to patient care.
• Maintain department and hospital records and document therapy in the system.
• Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapies for patients of all ages.

Lead Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a Lead CRT/RRT Respiratory Therapist for our hospital to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As a Lead Therapist on our team, you will evaluate the respiratory needs of and develop/implement the Respiratory Care Plan for your patients. Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation
• Must be self-directed
• Maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given
• Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages

Requirements:

• Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a licensed Respiratory Therapist; critical care and intubation experience preferred
• Clear/active Florida license as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire
