UCHealth’s Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs, CO is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to lead advanced patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess and respond to therapy plans, monitor patient status, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NBRC.
• State licensure to practice respiratory therapy.
• BLS/CPR through a recognized provider, valid through start date.
• ACLS within one year; NRP & PALS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
• Evaluates and develops respiratory care policies based on outcomes and best practices.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team.
• Responds to codes and emergent situations.
• Educates patients and families about illness and community resources.
• Maintains critical thinking, judgement, and independence in fast-paced environments.
