OSF HealthCare is seeking a Lead Respiratory Therapist in Illinois to oversee staffing and daily operations of the respiratory care department. The role ensures high-quality patient care across procedures, with leadership in policy adherence and staff development.
Requirements include an AMA-accredited Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy, 3+ years of experience (2+ in critical care), Illinois RCP licensure, NBRC credentials, BLS and ACLS within 90 days.

Expected pay for this position is $33.85 - $39.83/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Respiratory Therapist oversees the personnel and the daily operations of the department to assure the delivery of high quality care in all procedures and testing performed by respiratory care services. The Lead will perform, oversee and lead the mission partners performing clinical tasks. It will be the Lead’s responsibility to adhere to all policies and procedures and assure that all patient care delivered by Respiratory Care Services is in compliance with hospital standards and meets all requirements of certifying agencies. The orientation of new mission partners and the ongoing evaluation of present mission partners will be the Lead’s direct responsibility.
