Qualifications

• Accredited respiratory therapy program meeting WA licensure requirements.
• Active WA Respiratory Care Practitioner License at hire.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association at hire.
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification from American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource person for staff; may train or communicate instructions to others.
• Assist in scheduling and inspection to ensure quality work and safety.
• Act as a contact person in the absence of supervisor/director; no hiring or performance appraisals duties.

Education

Accredited respiratory therapy educational program sufficient to qualify for licensure in Washington State

Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association (within 90 days of hire)

National Provider PALS - American Heart Association (within 90 days of hire)

Job description

$10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet the required qualifications and conditions for payment

Sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness. May work with adult, pediatric and neonatal patient populations.

Acts as a resource person for other employees. May train or communicate instructions to other employees, perform minor scheduling, and inspect work to separate acceptable work from unacceptable. Serves as a contact person in the absence of a supervisor or director. Does not hire, fire, discipline, promote, demote, transfer, or appraise performance.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of an accredited respiratory therapy educational program sufficient to qualify for licensure in Washington State.
• Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
• National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of hospital based work experience, in the field of Respiratory Care
