Job summary

Providence Swedish seeks a Respiratory Therapist at Swedish First Hill in Seattle to operate respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.

The role involves serving as a resource for staff, potential training duties, and supporting the team in patient-focused care within our culture of respect and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License required at hire.
• Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program sufficient for WA licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required at hire or within designated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Operates respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions.
• Acts as a resource person and may train or communicate with other staff.
• May perform minor scheduling and inspect work for quality; serves as a contact in the absence of supervisor.

$10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet the required qualifications and conditions for payment

Sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness. May work with adult, pediatric and neonatal patient populations.

Acts as a resource person for other employees. May train or communicate instructions to other employees, perform minor scheduling, and inspect work to separate acceptable work from unacceptable. Serves as a contact person in the absence of a supervisor or director. Does not hire, fire, discipline, promote, demote, transfer, or appraise performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of an accredited respiratory therapy educational program sufficient to qualify for licensure in Washington State.
• Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
• National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 months of hospital based work experience, in the field of Respiratory Care
