Qualifications

• Specialized training in the field of work.

• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to meet Appraiser III requirements per GA Dept. of Revenue.

Responsibilities

• Directs and assists in training employees; plans, assigns, and verifies work of staff.
• Compiles annual real property digest.
• Directs building cost tables for residential property.
• Directs receipt/review of building permits for parcels.
• Conducts field reviews and data collection for appraisal.
• Uploads photos and enters appraisal data and sketches.
• Reviews field drawings and permits; monitors appeals process.
• Directs data collection for real property appeals and prepares change/no-change letters.
• Defends county position on appeals.
• Keeps abreast of appraisal procedures and laws.
• Assists the public by phone/in person; handles inquiries.
