Job summary

Opportunity Partners in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Residential Program Supervisor I to support people with disabilities in group homes, helping them live more independently and participate in their communities.

You will supervise Direct Support Professionals, coordinate staffing, and collaborate with care teams to plan and provide training and activities that promote independence and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of human service experience supporting either adults or children with disabilities.
• Minimum of six months of supervisory experience.
• Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the individual planning process with each person served.
• Collaborate with a person’s care team and facilitate team meetings.
• Promote hobbies and recreational activities.
• Assist with meal planning, grocery/personal shopping, and cooking.
• Schedule and attend medical appointments and provide medication administration.
• Support and develop independent living skills.
• Provide education and opportunities to problem solve regarding safety, apartment maintenance, finances and budgeting, social interactions, and self-advocacy.
• Supervise a staff of Direct Support Professionals.
• Provide training to personnel on health and support needs so individuals can live as independently as possible.
• Manage and maintain staffing schedules to meet people’s support needs.
• Collaborate with the program manager regarding staff training and coaching.
