Job summary

Comfort Systems of Montana is seeking an experienced Lead Retrofit Installer to own residential HVAC retrofit projects from start to finish in Bozeman, MT. The role focuses on furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, ductless minisplits, and hot water tanks, delivering quality workmanship and strong leadership on-site.

You will oversee installs, mentor apprentices, ensure safety and compliance, and maintain customer relationships while upholding the company’s high standards and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience with retrofit focus.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• Ability to read manuals, wiring diagrams and installation specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and complete full residential retrofit HVAC installations including furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, hot water tanks.
• Perform complete system changeouts: disconnect old equipment, install new systems, start up and walk homeowner through.</br>
• Install and fabricate ductwork to ensure proper airflow throughout the home.
• Run refrigerant lines, condensate drainage, electrical connections, and thermostat wiring on every job.
• Commission each installed system and verify operation across modes.
