Job summary

Elmar Heating & Cooling in Timonium, MD is seeking a Lead HVAC Installation Technician with 5+ years of residential experience to lead installation projects from start to finish.

You will install conventional furnaces and AC, ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, and gas furnaces while mentoring helpers and ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Competitive pay and benefits accompany a craftsmanship-focused team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of residential HVAC installation experience.
• Experience installing conventional HVAC systems, ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, and gas furnaces.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and installation skills.
• Ability to read installation manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish.
• Install conventional forced-air heating and cooling systems.
• Install ductless mini-split systems (single and multi-zone).
• Install heat pumps and air handlers.
• Install and replace gas furnaces.
• Perform equipment startups, testing, commissioning, and quality checks.
• Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• Mentor and guide installation helpers and junior technicians.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
• Represent Elmar Heating & Cooling with professionalism and integrity.
