Job summary

Doist in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced Lead Electrician to guide a three‑person crew through residential Generac generator installations. This hands‑on role runs from site assessment to testing and customer walkthrough, starting each morning at the Nashville warehouse.

You’ll install generators, connect to main panels, manage safety and codes, and train customers on operation and maintenance while keeping installation records up to date.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Comfortable leading a crew and working as part of a team.
• Able to report to Nashville warehouse early morning (around 6:30 AM).
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install residential backup generators per manufacturer specs and local codes.
• Lead a 3-person crew through full installation from start to finish.
• Perform on-site assessments for best generator placement considering panel, noise, fuel, and ventilation.
• Connect generators to main panel with transfer switches and ensure proper wiring and load balance.
• Assemble and install generators, fuel systems and related components.
• Ensure safe, compliant operation and test commissioning for outages.
