Job summary

Signature Homes is seeking a Builder Superintendent to oversee 8-12 homes within an assigned community in the Birmingham, AL area. You will coordinate construction from framing to closing, ensure on-time delivery, and drive quality across trade partners.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in residential construction management, reads plans well, and communicates effectively with customers and teams. The role is full-time and strictly on-site in Hoover, AL, with a strong focus on schedule adherence

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential construction management experience.
• Knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, building codes, and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and mobile technology.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of residential construction from frame drop through homeowner closing.
• Maintain accurate construction schedules and ensure homes are completed on time.
• Conduct daily jobsite walks to monitor progress, verify quality, and address issues proactively.
• Manage trade partners to ensure quality workmanship and schedule adherence.
• Utilize company systems to maintain schedules, track progress, and manage job information.
• Lead customer-facing meetings including builder calls, lot walks, and frame reviews.
• Maintain community appearance and jobsite cleanliness.
• Drive quality, accuracy, and accountability among trade partners to ensure all work is completed according to Signature Homes standards.
