Job summary

MSG is seeking a Civil Project Manager (Residential) in Columbus to lead civil site development for large multi-phased residential communities. Responsibilities include master planning, road networks, permitting, and client coordination with municipalities and Ohio EPA.

The role requires a PE license (Ohio preferred) or ability to obtain within 6 months, and 8+ years in civil site development, including residential work. Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or in a related field.
• PE license (Ohio preferred) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 8+ years in civil site development; 2+ years focused on residential land development.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (alignments, grading, pipe networks).
• Experience managing clients, budgets, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of local development codes and stormwater regulations.
• Experience with large multi-phase residential communities.
• Familiarity with Columbus-area permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design for large residential developments including master planning and road networks.
• Oversee permitting packages and regulatory submissions.
• Serve as primary client contact for residential developers and builders.
• Coordinate approvals with municipalities and Ohio EPA.
• Oversee construction-phase services: site visits, RFIs, change orders.
• Direct and mentor engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary support from environmental, transportation, survey, and geotechnical groups.
