Chads Design Build in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced Lead Residential Carpenter to drive quality remodeling projects across the Madison area. You will lead framing, finish carpentry, and detailing from plans through punch list while mentoring teammates.

We value craftsmanship, safety, and clear communication with homeowners and partners. A strong track record in residential remodels and a valid driver7s license are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential remodeling or construction experience.
• Advanced general and finish carpentry skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
• Proven ability to lead in the field and mentor less experienced carpenters.
• Valid driver1s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead carpentry work on residential remodeling projects.
• Perform and oversee framing, finish carpentry, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other detailed construction work.
• Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate day-to-day field activities with project managers and other team members.
• Help keep projects moving efficiently and identify potential issues before they affect schedules.
• Troubleshoot field challenges and make practical, informed decisions.
• Maintain high standards for craftsmanship, jobsite safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Mentor and support developing carpenters and communicate professionally with homeowners and trade partners.
