Job summary

Canopy Children's Solutions in Jackson, MS seeks a Lead Residential Care Specialist for the CARES Center to supervise Residential Care Specialists and provide direct youth care on assigned shifts. You will balance supervisory duties with frontline responsibilities to maintain a therapeutic environment and coordinate with the CARES team.

Responsibilities include staff coaching, scheduling coordination with Residential Life and Training Coordinators, involvement in clinical meetings, and modeling

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents.
• Experience at CARES preferred.
• Some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign RCS to a unit for the shift and supervise staff.
• Coach RCSs involved in significant milieu disruptions or emergency safety interventions.
• Provide on-the-job training for new hires in their first week.
• Lead staff debriefs after significant events with the Residential Training Coordinator.
• Lead pre-shift pass-down meetings for safe and therapeutic shift transfers.
