Job summary

The University at Buffalo seeks a Senior Research Support Specialist for CRESE on its South Campus. The role focuses on running grant-funded studies, employing exercise physiology techniques, and developing pilot methods within a collaborative, professional team.

Ideal candidates will have a background in human physiology and be adept with diagnostic equipment, data entry, and analysis, supporting faculty and graduate students in study operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, kinesiology, human physiology, biology, or a related field.
• Prior experience with human subjects preferred.
• Graduate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of complex experiments and report results to principal investigators.
• Lead participant recruitment, screenings, data collection, data entry and analyses.
• Provide support for faculty investigators, research team members, and graduate students to ensure adherence to study protocols and support daily study operations.
• Maintain accurate and detailed participant records through timely documentation and data entry, in compliance with university policies and applicable standards.
• Engage with research participants in a professional manner to ensure participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, and retention.
• May train students and junior-level staff.
