The University of Kansas Medical Center seeks a Senior Research Scientist in Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences to conduct complex, independent research within a collaborative team. The role includes hands-on experiments, data analysis, and contributions to grant submissions, manuscripts, and scientific presentations.

You will provide scientific guidance, supervision, and training to research personnel and help manage projects and laboratory operations in a dynamic academic medical setting.

Competenze

• MD/DO/PhD or equivalent required.
• Five years of research experience with peer-reviewed publications or equivalent.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or training research personnel.
• Ability to design and implement research protocols and projects.

Mansioni

• Design and prioritize research projects with PI, conduct complex scientific research.
• Review literature and integrate findings into study development.
• Prepare and contribute to grant submissions and manuscripts.
• Present findings at scientific meetings and forums.
• Develop and implement research protocols, timelines, and project plans.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on studies.
• Supervise and mentor research personnel and assign tasks.
• Maintain laboratory operations and documentation.
