Job summary

Persona is seeking exceptional researchers to advance identity verification and fraud prevention. You will examine how to detect manipulated or AI-generated content, test ideas with focused experiments, and collaborate with ML and engineering teams to turn findings into defenses for real customers.

Applicants should have deep expertise in computer vision or mathematics/statistics or identity/fraud prevention, and a track record of peer-reviewed publications. A PhD is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• PhD strongly preferred; MS with exceptional record also considered.
• Deep expertise in computer vision or mathematics/statistics or identity/fraud research.
• Demonstrated peer-reviewed publications in top venues.
• Ability to lead research independently and design rigorous experiments.

Responsibilities

• Lead research on identity verification and fraud prevention with focused experiments.
• Develop methods to detect manipulated documents and AI-generated content.
• Evaluate model performance across populations and datasets.
• Reveal patterns in verification data to distinguish signal from noise.
• Calibrate model confidence with limited labeled data.
• Collaborate with ML and engineering to deploy production models.
• Publish research at venues like CVPR, NeurIPS, USENIX Security.
