Job summary

Momentive is seeking a Research Scientist to drive the development of innovative antifoam solutions across multiple industries. You will lead projects from concept through commercialization, applying surface science, polymer science, and colloidal theory to advance SAG™, Silwet™, and ESCA™ product lines.

You will collaborate with global teams in marketing, sales, application development, manufacturing, and quality to ensure projects meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.S. with industrial R&D experience as stated.
• Experience with colloidal/surface chemistry and anti-foam technology preferred.
• Demonstrated success in new product development and independent research.
• Strong understanding of structure-property relationships and material/formulation design.
• Ability to translate application needs into chemical or material solutions.
• DOE, statistics, and data analysis knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Propose and design new products and platforms of strategic business significance.
• Lead and execute product development projects from definition to scale-up and commercialization.
• Write project reports and analyze results.
• Develop advanced characterization techniques to understand product performance.
• Collaborate across global teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Support quality and process teams to ensure robust product scale-up and control.
