Job summary

The University of Chicago's Development Innovation Lab (DIL) seeks a full-time Research Manager to collaborate with the faculty director and researchers on development economics projects. Responsibilities include overseeing data collection, budgeting, budgeting tools, and coordinating with partners, staff, and researchers to advance high-impact development economics

Qualifications

• Degree in related field; 5-7 years of work experience in related discipline.
• Experience with research management and budgeting is preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively and flexibly for responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement DIL's research in development economics with high-quality data collection across projects.
• Co-develop and manage a portfolio of development economics research projects.
• Guide data collection, evaluation and analysis; conduct literature reviews and IRB oversight.
• Manage and mentor junior research staff; recruit and train new staff.
• Lead research communications with partners and internal stakeholders and manage high-level collaborations.
