Job summary

White Cap Management LLC in San Antonio, TX seeks a Lead Rental Yard Associate to oversee the rental yard, ensure equipment is ready for customers, and supervise a small team. You’ll audit documentation, manage maintenance schedules, and coordinate daily operations to keep outages at a minimum.

The role emphasizes safety training, supervisory duties, and a hands-on approach to repairs and inventory to support timely rentals and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in related roles.
• 1-2 years lead experience in a similar industry.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audits all required documentation, timesheets, checklists, receiving records and repair order and maintenance logs.
• Establishes and maintains a written maintenance schedule.
• Oversees the service, repair and/or rebuild of equipment as necessary.
• Ensures all rental equipment is in good, usable condition before it goes out to the customer.
• Inspects equipment for damage on return and reports it according to procedure.
• Performs weekly and monthly equipment rental inventories.
• Monitors rental transactions to track lost or stolen equipment.
• Ensures the rental area and equipment are cleaned regularly.
• Opens and closes the rental yard, handles refunds and customer issues, and oversees forklift maintenance and daily pre-operation checks.
• Administers goals and training programs for associates, including safety training.

A Lead Rental Yard Associate at White Cap...

• Audits all required documentation, timesheets, checklists, receiving records and repair order and maintenance logs.
• Establishes and maintains a written maintenance schedule.
• Oversees the service, repair and/or rebuild of equipment as necessary.
• Ensures all rental equipment is in good, usable condition before it goes out to the customer. Inspects all rental equipment for damage when it comes back from a customer and reports any damage according to established procedure.
• Performs weekly and monthly equipment rental inventories to ensure appropriate equipment inventories.
• Monitors equipment rental transactions to track lost or stolen equipment, including filing police and insurance reports as needed.
• Removes dirt, concrete, or other debris from rental equipment. Ensures the rental area and equipment is cleaned on a regular basis.
• Opens and closes the rental yard, authorizes refunds, and handles customer issues. Oversees forklift maintenance and daily completion of pre-operation checklist.
• Administers goals and training programs for associates to include safety training.

Generally, has 7+ years of experience.

Performs other duties as assigned.
