Job summary

Qualus Corporation seeks a Lead Relay Field Engineer to calibrate, install and service protective relays and associated equipment across US client sites. You will supervise commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of substation control systems and SCADA networks, ensuring safe, reliable grid operation.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship and strong client communication while supporting travel and housing logistics for projects nationwide.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of field experience in commissioning, panel and equipment checkout, relay calibration, testing and repairing substation relaying and control schemes.
Experience in substation design/installation and SCADA fault data integration is desirable.
Understanding of 3-phase power systems and protection & control schemes.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and create/test plans with safety procedures.
Strong communication and mentorship skills for junior field personnel.

Responsibilities

Interpret project scope and plan commissioning and resource scheduling with team leadership.
Interpret substation drawings and wiring diagrams for testing and maintenance.
Develop procedures and test plans for maintenance activities and isolation plans.
Perform relay calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of substation equipment.
Lead and mentor field service personnel on projects and provide technical support.
