Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a Reinforcing Steel Foreman to lead a crew in constructing and securing steel bars and mesh for concrete structures. You will read blueprints, fabricate components, and supervise up to 5–15 craft workers on site.

The role requires 4+ years as a reinforcing ironworker with supervisory experience, plus strong tool knowledge and safe work practices in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a Reinforcing Ironworker.
• 1+ years’ supervisory experience.
• Ability to read prints and drawings.
• Knowledge of rebar sizing and quantities.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, locations, quantities of materials.
• Identify all tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and precautions to mitigate them.
• Fabricate equipment according to blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Hoist equipment into location via bull rigging or crane.
• Position and secure rebar and mesh using bending tools and fasteners.
• Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces using shears, torches, and welding equipment.
