What You'll Do

The Lead Registrar works collaboratively with Patient Access Leadership to ensure successful operation of Registration.

  1. Leads routine team huddles, ensures completion of day-to-day tasks, provides guidance and assistance with complex cases
  2. Maintains staff schedule to ensure sufficient coverage for all shifts, trains new staff, provides ongoing training for existing staff, maintains training schedule, and communicates progress to Patient Access Manager
  3. Orders supplies and maintains the supply list to ensure supplies are received
  4. Performs a variety of duties, including reception, registration, and switchboard functions
  5. Documents Outpatient and Emergency Admissions through patient/guarantor interviews by inputting data in the computer
  6. Handles routine patient inquiries related to the registration process
  7. Ensures all necessary demographics and financial data are obtained and accurately documented into the Electronic Medical Records System
  8. Identifies appropriate payor or source for routing revenue during the patient's stay
  9. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned
Who We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in a similar role preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Experience serving the public, performing registration functions, and performing computer-based tasks preferred
What We Offer
  • $24.00 - $30.00, dependent on experience; may vary outside this range
  • Additional $2.00 - $4.00 per hour for weekend and night shifts
  • Compensation may vary depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience
