**Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory Care**

**Work location:** Texas Health Dallas – Hamon Tower 8200 Walnut Hill Ln. TX 75231
**Work hours:** Full Time| Nights | 36 Hours Weekly| 7:00PM - 7:00AM

**Here’s What You Need**
+ Other Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program is required
+ Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
+ 1 year experience required
+ 1 year Med/Surg or critical care experience preferred
+ RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner required upon hire And
+ RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist required upon hire And
+ BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required And
+ ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred upon hire
+ Good Verbal communications, good interpersonal skills, computer experience
**What You Will Do**
+ Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from the patient or family.
+ Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements.
+ Applies appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care.
+ Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age-specific needs.
+ Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient's age and desire for treatment.
+ Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
+ Prepare and distribute staff assignments.
+ Assure appropriate staffing for all shifts.
+ Acts as resource for therapists, interns, and support personnel in solving departmental issues.
+ Acts as preceptor in orientation/assessment of clinical competence with new hires.
+ Handle issues that arise during the shift such as quality issues, equipment, staffing needs or complaints.
+ Other duties as assigned.
