Summary

Provides direct patient care, assists in the orientation, and mentorship of staff and trainees. Coordinates and facilitates the completion of ongoing and annual staff competencies. Coordinates and facilitates performance improvement, department-specific initiatives to improve quality, and optimize workflows.

Job Duties

  • Assists in the orientation and mentorship of staff and trainees to workflows and standards of care in respective patient populations.

  • Collects and records performance improvement data in a timely manner.

  • Develops and/or updates/revises standards of care in respective areas of clinical expertise/patient populations.

  • Identifies needs and facilitates department compliance with performance improvement initiatives.

  • Assists with developing and presenting educational programs based on evidence.

  • Assists with developing and implementing performance improvement action plans.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree
  • 1 year Experience as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
  • Ability to multitask

  • High-level computer skills
  • RPSGT - Registered Polysomnographer Technologist - State of Pennsylvania

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field
  • 1 year Employment in the LVHN Sleep Disorders Center.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
