HHS, LLC seeks a Lead Registered Dietitian to join Mercy Health St Elizabeth Boardman Hospital in Boardman, OH. You will manage a team of dietitians and guide medical nutrition therapy to support patient healing and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include assessments, education for staff and patients, and ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering a collaborative clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed per state regulations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards.
• Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2+ registered dietitians and oversee hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and counseling.
• Provide leadership that fosters morale, quality and respect within the team.
• Perform nutritional assessments and interventions for inpatient and outpatient care.
• Educate patients, families, nursing, food service, and staff on nutritional needs.
• Coordinate nutritional support training for the patient service ambassador team.
• Manage clinical QAPI projects and collaborate across departments to meet goals.
• Document patient assessments and nutritional goals in medical records.
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on nutrition status and orders.
• Attend patient rounds and maintain nutrition policies for regulatory compliance.

Job Description

We’re looking for a friendly, compassionate, leader to join our culinary team!

Manage a team of registered dietitians to guide patients, families, and facility staff on all aspects of medical nutrition therapy to create a healthy and healing environment. Build relationships with physicians and nursing to support patient satisfaction and achieve quality care that meets each patient’s nutritional needs.

Responsibilities

Lead Registered Dietitian at Mercy Health St Elizabeth Boardman Hospital in Boardman, OH Starting salary $75,000 (Negotiable based on experience) Extra benefits include paid CDR and State licensure fees with up to 18 FREE CEUs annually!

• Manage all aspects of hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and counseling for a team of 2+ registered dietitians
• Provide leadership that supports a team environment that fosters morale, passion, quality, and respect
• Complete nutritional assessments and provide interventions using evidence-based practices for both inpatient and outpatient care
• Provide education to patients, families, nursing, food service, and other facility staff on nutritional needs
• Providing nutritional support training for the patient service ambassador team
• Manage clinical QAPI projects and plans and collaborate with other departments to achieve goals
• Document assessment of patients with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’ nutritional status
• Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements
• Attend patient rounds and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian with Commission of Dietetic Registration and licensed dietitian as required per state regulations
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field
• 3+ years of experience in a related field
• Knowledge of regulatory standards
• Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software
