Job summary

URBN Dental is seeking a Lead Registered Dental Assistant for our Houston area practice. This full-time role leads the clinical team, coordinates inventory, and performs advanced chairside procedures including implants and bone grafts.

You will support doctors and hygienists, manage rooms and instruments, and help optimize patient flow while delivering an exceptional experience to every patient. Opportunities for advancement and ongoing development are available.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant license required.
• Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of lead dental assistant experience required.
• Experience with implants and surgical assisting preferred.
• Familiarity with iTero and digital dentistry workflows preferred.
• Open Dental software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the clinical team.
• Supply ordering and inventory maintenance.
• Surgical chairside assisting including implants, extractions, and bone grafting.
• Assist doctors and hygienists during procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments.
• Show patients to exam rooms and prepare them for procedures.
• Take digital X-rays and assist with imaging.
• Make dental impressions.
• Sterilize dental tools and equipment.
• Support post-procedure clean-up.
• Support clinical efficiency and patient flow.
• Help maintain a positive and growth-focused office culture.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience.

Pay

• $23 - $27 per hour

Requirements

• License & Certification: Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
• Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant license required
• Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of lead dental assistant experience required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with implants and surgical assisting preferred
• Familiarity with iTero and digital dentistry workflows preferred
• Open Dental software experience preferred
